After her world is irrevocably changed, a successful New York City architect struggles to regain intimacy and control in her life. The Light of The Moon is a raw and realistic portrayal of the six weeks after a woman is assaulted.


The Light of The Moon had its World Premiere in competition at the SXSW Film Festival in 2017, where it won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature. The film was released in select theaters in November-December 2017 to sold-out screens in both New York and Los Angeles.

The independent film stars Stephanie Beatriz (Encanto, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, In the Heights), Michael Stahl-David (Cloverfield, Narcos), and Conrad Ricamora (How To Get Away With Murder). The film is Jessica M. Thompson's writing-directing feature debut, and is produced by Thompson, Carlo Velayo and Michael Cuomo.
